Meet Eliza
Hi, I’m Eliza Bertok, R.H.N. a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who guides women in perimenopause feel balanced, energized, and more like themselves again.
My journey to nutrition started in an unexpected place- behind the salon chair. For 25 years, I worked as a hairstylist, helping women feel confident and beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. Over time, I began educating my clients on Eco-friendly salons, natural haircare, and safer products for both their health and the environment.
But it wasn’t always that way- I spent many years in traditional salons filled with harsh chemicals, not realizing how much they were effecting my own health. Looking back, I believe that constant exposure played a role in throwing off my hormones off balance and even contributed to my thyroid issues. That growing awareness- and my curiosity about how the body works- inspired me to go deeper and study how nutrition could support from the inside out.
In 2019, I graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), ready to begin a new chapter directing women to nurture their body’s naturally.
Plus I’m a whiz in the kitchen ……
My own health journey has been far from simple. I’ve dealt with endometriosis, an emergency hysterectomy, and now, like so many of my clients, I’m navigating perimenopause with its hormonal ups and downs. ( I kept my ovaries, so yes- I feel it all, too!)
All of this has given me a deep understanding of what women truly go through- physically, emotionally, and mentally- during this time.
MY APPROACH
HOLISTIC
Holistic to me is approaching women’s health by looking at the whole picture. I like to adress the mind, body and soul. I fee like our whole being is important to support our needs as a women.
ORGANIC
I know eating organic can be expensive so I am here to guide you how to know when its important and when its not as neccessary.
All meat and dairy recommendations will be hormone free. Some fruit and vegetables are known for more likely to be sprayed with toxins that effect our hormones. I will include a shopping list for a budget friendly organic shopping guide.
NATURAL
I will be recommending a whole-foods meal plan with only natural supplement recommendations. I will not be recommending synthetic hormone replacement therapy but I do not have ant authority is my scope of practice to recommend ending any prescribed medicidine from your doctor.
